Taste of Yuma Foodie Fest Oct 13th 5-11pm

Arizona Western College Foundation, the AWC Alumni Association, and The Mexican Consulate in Yuma present the Taste of Yuma Foodie Fest. The Taste of Yuma is a collaborative event celebrating the global diversity of foods found in Yuma County. It will showcase the best regional culinary treats and highlight the rich cultural flavors of Mexico.

Food will be provided by local and regional chefs or commercial vendors. Musicians and dance groups reflecting the various cultures of Yuma and Mexico will provide entertainment throughout the evening. The beer/wine garden will have options of full beverages or sampling size.

Part of the entertainment consists of the Yuma Chopped Championship. High school culinary teams will be competing on stage. The teams will have to create a hot or cold appetizer in 30 minutes on stage. Their appetizer will be scored by three judges.

Proceeds to benefit scholarships and programs provided by the AWC Alumni Association.
