Awesome workshop coming up in CA, Dec 6-10, specifically on “Water Harvesting” and “Hydrological Restoration” or how to fully utilize and/or effectively manage water that falls on the farm or moves through the farm. This is a very unique opportunity to learn hands on from the amazing teachers (including Warren Brush) at Quail Springs Permaculture Center near Santa Barbara. Why is taking an earthworks course important?
The need for people is growing daily with hands-on skills in hydrological restoration and the integration of farming utilizing the principles that lead to ecological stability. Through this course, you will develop your skills in landform discovery and mapping, water flow calculation, use of survey equipment, soil testing for earthworks, construction flagging, working appropriately with equipment operators, large swale development and systems linking, planting and commissioning, and much more.
